A quality learning experience at Stanwick Hall
The owners of Stanwick Hall are generously giving Udig access to its parkland, providing Udig with an opportunity to train budding archaeologists and enthusiasts in the art of archaeological excavation while further expanding the history of the Hall, its grounds and Stanwick village.

Join the team and discover what lies beneath the ancient earthworks within the grounds of Stanwick Hall’s parkland. Building platforms, trackways and ridge and furrow abound and await exploration by the team.

WE WANT ENTHUSIASTS
OF ALL AGES
Team Members aged 8+ can attend but will need to be accompanied by an adult.
A minimum of one adult per two children. Those 17+ years can attend with a signed letter of permission from a parent or guardian.
This exciting offer is open to all, from home or abroad.
You are welcome to join the team for as long as you wish; two weeks is recommended for a more complete learning experience. During your time with us, you will have ample opportunity to take part in an interesting and varied range of archaeological activities under the guidance of trained archaeologists; and for future reference, you can make a record of all your efforts within your very own Skills Passport.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO SPENDING TIME WITH YOU.
Each team pass provides access to the site from 11 am on the Saturday of that digging week until 11 am on Saturday of the following week. The experience includes a programme of six full days of archaeological on-site processes from excavation to post-excavation.
Each booking includes free on-site camping within the Hall’s parkland. We have a limited number of bespoke sleeping pods on site and rooms at nearby Stanwick Hotel for those who do not wish to camp. The hotel rooms will be available at a subsidised rate on a first-come, first-served basis. Details of how to book will be provided on your team pass confirmation email.
